  1. Exercise and Dietary control. All you need to do is to be careful about what you eat, and ensure spending more energy than calories consumed. It’s that easy and simple. Follow this golden rule and you will not have to read those long 4000 pages books, spend a whooping £500 or stay up light nights for watching those programs on diet control. This concept is 100% true.
  2. Bring about changes in your lifestyle. If you go back to those same excessive consumption diets then you will gain back all the weight in the world that you’ve lost. Diet plans don’t work since they are temporary and just one of the steps to help you achieve your goal. What is important is to maintain your achieved goals and this happens well when you change your life style. This ensures change of habits as well and is a long term benefit and helps you in maintain your waistline permanently.
  3. Be a part of an online support group. It is important that you don’t feel alone in your efforts where there are chances of giving up. On the contrary reaching out to people (known or unknown) is a smart move. There are many support groups out there, so attach yourself to any one that suits you.
  4. Take photographs before and after losing weight. Comparing photos at the time of being overweight and obese with the ones after losing weight and coming in shape proves to be a boost and works as a self-acknowledgment of all your efforts. However this is one of the easiest methods that demonstrate your progress clearly.
  5. Begin reading labels. Before eating any food item read the label to know its composition and ingredients. This must be done meticulously and this will definitely help you to control you fat intake and diet patters. It’s not a very difficult task but just requires some effort on your part. Simply pay attention to the calorie count.
  6. Talk to your family. Tell your family about your weight reduction plans and procedures and they will be a great support and help to you. Inform them about your efforts and ask them for advice as well. This will help them to be a part of your goals and a source of inspiration for you. Hiding essential facts from them will inadvertently affect you as well in the long run. In the process you may influence them with your healthy habits and programs.
  7. Go public. Going public somewhat make you accountable since now your friends and acquaintances tend to know what you’re doing and going back to your old habits will make lose your integrity in front of them. This acts like fuel in rocket and propels you forward towards the success route. Sometimes you would not want to disappoint your friends and people known to you in view of the expectations they have from you. You may influence other friends of yours with your commitment and dedication.
  8. Identify exercise patterns. Identify the amount and type of exercise required. This is not same for everyone and don’t get taken up by that e “no pain, no gain” mantra. Don’t set a routine that you would not follow. You can lose weight without hurting yourself, just by following simple exercise patterns regularly.
  9. Zone out by listening to music. Zoning out and listening to enigmatic music proves to be a stimulus while you exercise and also helps time to pass by so the exercise session takes it own course without you having to concentrate much on it. This will help you exercise better.
  10. Set goals that are not unrealistic. Remember to set realistic goals, exercise patterns and diet patterns that you can achieve. It does not matter if it takes time. Keep in mind “Slow and steady wins the race”.
